More Than 25 Destination Immersions

Starwood Hotels & Resorts expands its portfolio of destination immersions for travel professionals with the launch this month of new modules for Colombia and Peru. Both modules offer destination content, transportation information, full property details for all Starwood hotels in each country and story selling examples to help travel professionals better qualify and satisfy their customers.

The Colombia module offers SPG Pros an overview of the destination options offered by Colombia, the only South American country with Pacific and Atlantic coastlines.

Specific chapters include: Bogota, highlighting the colonial and modern, capital and major epicenter of country’s culture and business; Medellin – known for its intense night activity and its traditional Feria de las Flores; Cali – musical and historical, capital of the department Valle del Cauca and cradle of rumba; and Barranquilla – dreamy, main city of the golden Caribbean coast.

Within each chapter SPG Pros will be introduced to the Starwood portfolio. Properties in Bogota include Aloft Bogota Airport, W Bogota Hotel, Sheraton Bogota Hotel and Four Points by Sheraton Bogota. Additional properties featured include; Four Points by Sheraton Barranquilla, Four Points by Sheraton Medellin, and Four Points by Sheraton Cali.

The Peru module will explore the many facets of the third largest country in Latin America. It offers chapters on main cities including: Lima, Cuzco, Paracas and Sacred Valley.

Properties highlighted in Peru include Tambo del Inka, a Luxury Collection Resort &Spa in Sacred Valley. This is the only hotel in Urubamba that has a private railway station to Machu Picchu. In Lima hotels include The Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center, The Sheraton Lima Hotel & Convention Center and the Four Points by Sheraton Miraflores. In Paracas, the module highlights the Hotel Paracas, a Luxury Collection Resort And in Cuzco, the Pacalcio del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel.
