On the Road Again…

The song says it all! The Ogg’s are on the road together to speak and exhibit at two upcoming trade shows. We started our first travel agency/tour operator together in 1981 and were married in 1982. We worked together side by side until 2000 when we sold NACTA to ASTA and I stayed on at NACTA as president.  While we did have many opportunities to travel together (not enough) we officially wore different business hats. Well, we are excited to finally be back working together to support one another at HomeBasedTravelAgent.com and all that it now encompasses. Tom has developed a one-stop home for travel professionals with HBTA.com, HBTACommunity.com, HBTANetwork.com, a library of books and so much more.  With Joanie Ogg Marketing Group I look forward to doing what I love and that is speaking with agents about growing their businesses and consulting with suppliers so that they understand all that you have to bring to the table to grow their businesses as well.

While some say we are pioneers in the home-based market and that term brings images of wagon trains, our solid experience, honesty and integrity is what we want to share with the industry we both love so much.  So if as pioneers we have a part in continuing to help agents build their business then we are on board and ready to uncover and discover new horizons for all of us.

I will be moderating the Cruise Executive Panel during the General Session and will also be presenting a workshop on November 15th entitled “It’s All About You!
