Who Should Join
 the HBTA Community?

This community is for travel professionals only. A travel professional is someone that is actively selling travel to clients through personal contact in an established retail location either brick and mortar or home-based.

Referral travel agents, MLM agents or Network Marketers are not welcome to join simply because they do not fall within the confines of the discussions taking place in the community. This is not to disparage these types of individuals or organizations, it is simply to maintain the continuity for professional travel agents.

If You Are Banned

If you have tried to join the community and were banned, please understand that it is not personal. It is simply that you do not fit the profile for membership and banning is the only way the community can control access.

Before You Join the Community

Before you join the community, you should read the following rules and standards for the community. These forums are for the sharing of knowledge amongst travel professionals for the benefit of all HBTACommunity members. We only have a few rules that we ask everyone abide by.

1. No Advertising or Soliciting: Please avoid any advertising or direct solicitation of members that post in the forums. Do not post ads on member's pages by using their "Leave a Comment" form. Do not e-mail members with solicitations or advertisements. This includes advertisements for services, products, fams, seminars, webinars, trade shows and other events. 2. No Flaming of Other Members: Please do not participate in flaming others or making comments that would invite a confrontational response.

3. Treat All Members With Respect: Remember that this is an open forum and things that you say about suppliers, host agencies or other travel agents may likely find their way to them. Avoid making derogatory statements about anyone.

4. Do not copy and paste copyrighted material to the forums or groups. If you come across some relevant information somewhere, the acceptable way to share it is to summarize the information and then include a link to the article where it exists. Everything published on the Internet is copyrighted and you may not simply copy and paste it without violating the copyrights of the individuals that wrote and published it. All copyrighted material will be immediately removed.

Suppliers and Host Agencies, Please Read This; You are entitled to ONE advertisement that can be placed in the "Suppliers Marketplace" group. If you enter the forums and groups, please do so only as a member of the community, rather than a sales person for your company. Feel free to offer knowledge to the members. They will appreciate your sharing specific expertise when it is appropriate. The best way to drive traffic to your page is to include a link back to it in your signature on the forum post. Never post specials or other product information to the forums. Please be aware that if you post advertisements or solicitations as mentioned above, that you and your company may be banned without notice from this site.
