Overview of Program: Hotel Excellence! is a hotel sales and training program for travel agents. This comprehensive and interactive online program addresses the training needs of travel agents at every level. Through the course you will better understand the complex hotel industry, learn useful new sales strategies and how to qualify clients, get an insider's knowledge of Marriott's family of brands and products worldwide and maximize your success in selling hotels. Hotel Excellence! is a 5 module, interactive online training that addresses generic lodging sales issues as well as the benefits and diversity of the 12 lodging choices that Marriott offers. To take part, agents are required to: Read/listen to each of the 5 interactive modules, complete the course activities and successfully complete a 10 question quiz after each module. If you earn a score of 70% or higher, you will become a Marriott-certified Hotel Sales Specialist (HSS).

Eligibility Requirements: Open to all bonafide travel agents worldwide.

Benefits: Upon successful completion of Marriott's Hotel Excellence! training, travel agents will receive: A certificate signed by J.W. Marriott, Jr. that attests to the agent's proficiency in recommending lodging products, exclusive access to Marriott's highly successful Fam-Tastic rates, access to special contests via the GDS and Marriott Hotel Sales Specialist pages on their travel agent web site. If you are a travel agent who becomes a Marriott Hotel Sales Specialist, you will also receive: Monthly HSS electronic bulletins notifying you of information, events, and contests exclusively and a beautiful cloisonné pin honoring your HSS standing.
