Overview of Program: Mississippi Development Authority Division of Tourism recognizes the importance of the travel professional and has developed the Certified Mississippi Travel Professional on-line course. This comprehensive travel professional education program is designed to educate and assist the travel professional in selling Mississippi's diverse travel product. The course consists of twelve lessons, with each lesson concluding with a brief multiple choice quiz. You will need to get at least 80% of the questions correct to continue to the next lesson. Each lesson should take no longer than 20 to 30 minutes to work through and complete, however, there is no time limit on any lesson. There is a final review and exam following the final lesson. Agents who complete the course and apply to the Division of Tourism Development will qualify to become a Certified Mississippi Travel Professional.

Eligibility Requirements: Certification is available to all bone fide travel agents and travel professionals worldwide. To qualify to take this course, you must have membership in at least one of the following: ARC, IATAN, ABA, NTA or OMCA and be at least 21 years of age.
