Overview of Program: The TCI Expert program is a travel agent training program designed to create a force of agents specialized in selling Turks & Caicos vacations. This Turks and Caicos Islands destination specialist program offered via the Internet, makes learning about this exciting destination both easy and time efficient. Agents can now learn all about this fabulous high-end destination that is a real ‘Hot Spot’ for your clients. As a new destination many agents are unfamiliar with the eight islands and the various activities and events the islands have to offer. Through this extensive training program you will first be educated on the destination as a whole through an online self-study course and test, followed by a 4 day fam trip to the islands. The test is a self-study program that you take via the Internet. The test is set up so that you can take one section (one topic) at a time. Upon answering those questions once you click on the Submit Answers button at the bottom of the page your answers are scored and you are taken to the next section. Upon scoring a 90% or higher you will then be invited to the next scheduled fam trip where you will complete your TCI Expert certification. The Fam includes, air from departure city, 3 nights accommodations, most meals, airport transfers, out of island tours, site inspections, final test and graduation dinner where TCI Expert certificates and sales kit are issued.

Eligibility Requirements: While the program is open to ALL travel agents interested in becoming an expert on Turks & Caicos vacations, you must have a current IATAN card and be listed on a current IATAN list to use the special fam rates to complete your TCI Expert certification. (Otherwise you will need to provide your own air for the fam trip).

Benefits: Once you have completed the program you will have access to a dedicated Help Desk, enrolled in their Referral Program where you will be listed on the official Turks & Caicos Tourism website as a preferred agent, receive a TCI Expert graduation certificate, a sales kit which includes promotional materials and gifts, first notification of specials and events and a variety of special discounts and preferred rates while on island.

Cost: To register for the online training program you must mail your application along with an agency check for $45. The 4 day fam trip costs $250 for East Coast departures, $275 for Mid-west gateway cities, $300 from West Coast and Canada and $350 from the UK.
