SPG® Pro DEBUTS New Destination Immersions Featuring Columbia, Peru and China
Starwood’s ProLearning Now Offers Nearly 30 Destination Immersions
Starwood Hotels & Resorts expands its portfolio of destination immersions for travel professionals with the launch of new modules for top destinations including Colombia, Peru and China. All new modules offer destination content, transportation information, full property details for all Starwood hotels in each country and story selling examples to help travel professionals better qualify and satisfy their customers.

The Colombia module offers SPG Pros an overview of the destination options offered by Colombia, the only South American country with Pacific and Atlantic coastlines. Specific chapters include: Bogota, highlighting the colonial and modern, capital and major epicenter of country’s culture and business; Medellin, known for its intense night activity and its traditional Feria de las Flores; Cali, musical and historical, capital of the department Valle del Cauca and cradle of rumba; and Barranquilla, dreamy, main city of the golden Caribbean coast. Properties in Bogota include Aloft Bogota Airport, W Bogota Hotel, Sheraton Bogota Hotel and Four Points by Sheraton Bogota. Additional properties featured include; Four Points by Sheraton Barranquilla, Four Points by Sheraton Medellin, and Four Points by Sheraton Cali.
The Peru module explores the many facets of the third largest country in Latin America. It offers chapters on main cities including: Lima, Cuzco, Paracas and Sacred Valley. Properties highlighted in Peru include Tambo del Inka, a Luxury Collection Resort &Spa in Sacred Valley. This is the only hotel in Urubamba that has a private railway station to Machu Picchu. In Lima hotels include The Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center, The Sheraton Lima Hotel & Convention Center and the Four Points by Sheraton Miraflores. In Paracas, the module highlights the Hotel Paracas, a Luxury Collection Resort. And in Cuzco, the Pacalcio del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel.
Two China modules have been added. “The Golden Triangle” offers an immersion in the most visited cities in China: Beijing, Xian and Shanghai. There is something for everyone in The Golden Triangle; from seeing the Terracotta Warriors in Xian, to the iconic Tiananmen Square; the world’s largest plaza, to the World’s largest hydroelectric complex at the Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River. Highlights of some of Starwood’s Beijing properties include: The Great Wall Sheraton Hotel Beijing, The Westin Beijing Financial District, and the St. Regis Beijing. Highlights of some of Starwood’s Shanghai Hotels include: Sheraton Shanghai Hongkou Hotel, The Westin Bund Centre Shanghai, and Le Royal Meridien Shanghai. Xian hotels include: Sheraton Xian North City Hotel, Sheraton Xian Hotel and The Westin Xian.
The “China Natural Wonders” module features some of China’s natural wonders across its physically diverse landscape that truly showcase the beauty of China. Featured destinations include Hangzhou, Guilin, Yangshuo and Lhasa, Tibet. Featured properties include: Four Points by Sheraton Lhasa and the St. Regis Lhasa Resort.
