How to Use the Travel Suppler
Community
Travel Agents
How To Search for Suppliers
If you go to the members page and click on "Advanced Search"
you will see the questions that are presented.
1. "What is Your Name?" If you know the
name of the individual you are looking for, simply enter it
and hit "Search".
2. "What is your position in the travel
industry?" If you click on one of the various options, you
can see that only suppliers who chose that option appear in
the search results. If you click on "cruise" you will see
all of the cruise lines that have joined.
3. "What is the Name of Your Company?"
If you you know the name of the company that you are looking
for, enter it here and click on Search.
4. "What Products or Services Do You
Offer?" You can define what you are looking for in this box.
As an example, if you are looking for safaris, simply enter
safaris into the box and hit Search.
5. What Consortia do you work with?
Again put your consortia in and those suppliers that work
with it will appear in the results.
6. "Keywords". Enter keywords for what
you are looking for and they should show up in the results.
Note that all keywords need to be in the supplier's
keywords, so try to use as few as possible to define what
you are looking for.
Completing Your Profile
While you can stick all kinds of information into your
profile, most agents do not want to risk being solicited by
every supplier member in the community. For this reason, the
only information a supplier can see on your profile is your
name and agency name. That's it! Your e-mail addresses is
hidden from everyone and is only used to verify that you are
a member of the
www.TravelProfessionalCommunity.com
community. If you are not a member, you should join now! It
is also a free site for travel professionals.
