My wife and I acquired NACTA in 1996 when home based travel agents weRE somewhat nonconformist. At the time it only had about 150 members. We built it up to about 1,500 members and were approached by ASTA, the world's largest travel agent association, to acquire NACTA. We worked a deal out in 2000 and Joanie (my wife) continued on as the President of NACTA until January of 2008. Today, NACTA is the leading association representing home based travel agents, cruise agents, independent contractors and host agencies. It is recognized by everyone in the travel industry and has thousands of active members. Membership in NACTA is something every home based agent should join, especially if you are new to our industry. Today, Mr. Scott Koepf CTC, MCC is the President of NACTA and he brings years of industry experience with him for the member's benefit.
