SAN DIEGO -- The
Travel
Professional
Community, a
dynamic social
community of
more than 8,300
actively
involved travel
professionals,
is expanding its
mission.
Principals Tom
and Joanie Ogg
have tapped Mary
Clegg, most
recently the
vice president
of NACTA, as
President of the
Travel
Professional
Community. Under
Mary's
leadership, TPC
will be
transformed into
a new,
one-of-a-kind
professional
travel agent
resource and
education
organization.
"We are very
excited about
this new venture
and look forward
to providing
cutting edge
educational
opportunities,
resources and
new programs
that are not
currently
offered within
the travel
industry," said
Tom Ogg, founder
and principal of
the Travel
Professional
Community. “Mary
brings the kind
of vision to
Travel
Professional
Community that
will see it to
maturity.”
Joanie Ogg,
MCC, CTC,
currently an
Administrator at
Travel
Professional
Community, will
also take a
formal position
on the board,
effective December
1, 2011. “I am
looking forward
to Mary’s
involvement in
the Travel
Professional
Community.
Having worked
with Mary in the
past and
witnessed her
leadership
skills and
support of
travel
professionals; I
am excited to
have her as an
integral part of
the organization
moving forward,”
she said.
“I'm thrilled to
be taking on the
position of
President of the
Travel
Professional
Community and
working with two
such well
respected
industry
professionals as
Tom and Joanie,"
said Clegg. "It
is my passion to
help travel
professionals
whether
home-based,
virtual or brick
and mortar
realize their

Through the
resources and
network of the
Travel
Professional
Community I plan
to provide
unique
educational
programs and
tools to help

is to keep

keep agents
aware and ready
to make

business, as
well as how they

rather than
reacting to

created in 2008
with the vision
of connecting
vetted travel
professionals

in order to
promote their
