With the addition of this module, Starwood now offers nine destination immersions available at starwoodpro.com. The new StarwoodPro module offers an immersion in Thailand’s resort destinations covering all five regions in the Land of Smiles including Northern, Northeastern, Southern, Central and Eastern, with the exception of the capital Bangkok, which is due to be launched as a separate module soon. In this module, travel professionals are able to the discover rich cultural history of the Northern Thailand – from Chiang Mai, the country’s arts and culture hub with handicraft centers and artisan villages to Chiang Rai, the birthplace of Thailand’s rich cultural history and home to many hill tribes. Travel down South and gain insights into Hua Hin as the preferred destination for honeymooners and families, pristine beaches and diverse water-based activities along Thai Gulf in Pattaya and Koh Samui or Andaman Sea of Khao Lak, Krabi and Phuket. Travel professionals who complete this Thailand immersion will be able to better match Starwood’s 12 resorts in the five distinct destinations with their client’s travel interests through Starwood’s unique story-selling feature.
In addition, the Thailand module will offer information about Starwood’s Thai properties and their unique propositions so that travel professionals can make recommendations according to traveler interests. Participants in the module will learn about five Le Meridien properties including: Le Meridien Chiang Rai Resort, Le Meridien Chiang Mai, Le Meridian Khao Lak Beach Resort & Spa, Le Meridien Koh Samui Resort & Spa and Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort. There are also three Sheraton properties featured in the lesson including: Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, Sheraton Pattaya Resort and Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort. Starwood’s Luxury Collection offers the newly opened Vana Belle, A Luxury Collection Resort, Koh Samui and The Naka Island, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket. Westin and W each have one property including The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa Phuket and the W Retreat Koh Samui.
